2008 SASL CHAMPS: THE SOFTBALLERS
3 Comments Published by Haseeb August 18th, 2008 in Sports, PersonalAlhamdulillah. After another long season, and despite all the “experts” doubting us, and several former Ballers leaving the orange and black to join other teams thinking the Ballers would no longer be in the hunt for the SASL crown, the Ballers have come through yet again, shocking three of the top powerhouses in the SASL […]
ESPN Outside The Lines: Athletes And Activism
4 Comments Published by Haseeb May 19th, 2008 in Sports, Current NewsGreat ESPN story on an athlete’s responsibility to take a stand and why many refrain from discussing political issues publicly. Kudos to atheletes like Steve Nash who stand up against the war and human rights violations in Sudan. And its inspiring to see LeBron James, who at such a young age, is willing to […]

3 Comments Published by Haseeb April 14th, 2008 in Sportswow… these Yankee fans are pathetic making such a big deal about an innocent prank.
After a very sad and disappointing end to the 2007 baseball season, the Mets, with several key new acquisitions, should nonetheless be the team to beat in the NL. With opening day tomorrow, here is my annual Mets Season Preview for 2008 (2007, 2006, 2005).
Starting Lineup
1. Jose Reyes - SS Arguably the best player […]

Hakeem Olajuwon - Class of 2008 Hall of Famer

On April 11th, The Houston Rockets will unveil a monument honoring Hakeem Olajuwon […]
Yankees Cheated their way to dominance in Late 90s; NY METS real 2000 Champs!
3 Comments Published by Haseeb February 15th, 2008 in Sports, Current NewsThe Yankees lead the list of teams with most cheaters! At least 26 Yankees over the steroid era have taken performance enhancing drugs. Just like Bonds & McGwire’s HR records are tainted and Aaron and Maris are still viewed by many as the real Homerun kings, the yankees’ dominance over the late 90s should also […]

Why the NY Giants will win Super Bowl 42… or will they?
6 Comments Published by Haseeb January 25th, 2008 in SportsYes, its true… I’ve jumped on the Giants Bandwagon. I can’t help but root for Big Blue. Never in a million years would I have believed the Giants would currently be NFC Champs given their performance all season up till about a month ago. Somehow they have really turned it around from Week 17 on. […]
I must admit, I was one of those Mets fans booing David Wright back in April. It indeed was a rite of passage, as DW has proven himself to be one of the best players in the game - and unlike many of his teammates - he is clutch and plays with heart.
