There is no doubting the fact that it was the dedication and tireless work of The Shaykh of Dawah of the West, Imam Siraj Wahaj, that paved the way and set the legacy for today’s scholars and institutes. He is revered and respected by virtually ALL of today’s American Muslim scholars and institutes, and we all should know his story and continue to make dua for our beloved Imam.
There is no real wisdom without experience
Al-Maghrib is not “focused” on dealing with issues in the West. Some say they did this as a PR move to promote their organization. Scholars like Shaykh Abdullah Adhami, Shaykh Hamza, Imam Zaid, etc, have done this a long time ago, & continue to focus not “just” on pure Islamic knowledge, but the relation it has in the West. I just see this as a “bidda” in their methodology, or maybe they are following the lead of the traditional scholars. Allah
knows best.
For you to say that without any evidence or proof is gossip & backbiting, if not slander. Why would people say its a PR move? Would Shaykh Abdullah or Shaykh Hamza or Imam Zaid say such a thing about Al-Maghrib?
