Sponsoring Iftars for the Stony Brook MSA
Published by Haseeb September 3rd, 2008 in Islam, MSA, PersonalFor those of you who attended any major university with an active MSA, you were probably blessed to have daily Ramadan Iftars provided by your MSA. I know that during my four years at Stony Brook we had great iftars every single weekday during Ramadan. This year it has come to my attention that the MSA is having difficulty providing daily iftaars. The fact that the beginning of Ramadan coincided with the start of the academic year has made it difficult in obtaining the proper funds. I would like to urge all of those who can to please donate whatever you can to help fund Stony Brook MSA’s iftars HERE . (You can pay via Google Checkout) .
He who provides for the breaking of the Siyam of another person earns the same merit as the one who was observing Siyam (Fast) without diminishing in any way the reward of the latter. (Tirmidhi)

I think you missed “without” (or some word to that effect) before “diminishing”… as it reads now it isn’t very encouraging
Fixed… thank you!
JazakumAllah khayran for all your help.
The alumni by themselves have raised enough for an entire iftar through their word of mouth and self donations.
May Allah
reward you all with the best in this world and the next.
