i posted the above to further stress your point about the change with regard to palestine policy after the presidential run began, brother. but i disagree with your statement that there is not point voting for a candidate who will lose: ultimately, it is not in this world but on the Day of Judgement that whom you voted for matters, and I would much rather support someone whom I agree with totally than someone whose policy now seems to have changed significantly and terrifyingly. I wonder what will happen if he gets into office.

Perhaps standing for the man who is principled, even if he loses, is more important than sacrificing principle for a shot at being on the winning side. do share your views, sidi.

"First it is important to establish the facts. Here are the facts: I am not a Muslim and I never have been. I never attended a madrasa. I did not take my oath of office on a Koran. I am a committed Christian. I lived in Indonesia for four years as a child, where I attended secular schools. I took my oath of office on our family Bible. People who know the facts are not worried about my commitment to Israel's security and the U.S.-Israel relationship."

i agree he would be a great candidate.. but reality is that he has absolutely no chance of winning this election, and by running he is only taking away votes from the Democrats..

don't you know anything about politics or history. nader will never be a real candidate (after 4 times) . he knows nothing about being a president and has no real solution. he would lead this country towards disaster

I dont understand why people are hating on Nader. Look at all the issues - he has real points. He has the the right to run - and his issues regarding foreign policy, the economy, health care - are completely off the table as far as Obama, Clinton, and McaCin are concerned.

Nader didnt spoil it for Gore anymore than all the racist Muslims in Florida who refused to vote for Gore since he had a Jewish running mate. I bet at least tens of thousands of Muslims in Florida voted for Bush back in 2000. It was a matter of 500 or so votes! Moreover its quite obvious the polls were rigged due to the many documented voting irregularities. But thats another issue.

Nader is running to have the issues that we all support - discussed on a mainstream platform. The overwhelming majority of doctors in the US support a single payer national healthcare system - but nobody - not hillary or even barack have the guts to make the necessary changes. Barack Obama used to be very Pro-Palestinian, but his views on Israel changed drastically once he entered the presidential run. Obama is great - and as my many previous posts have indicated - I like him alot - but hes far from perfect.

In the end, like i said in my post - I, and the overwhelming majority of Americans will definitely vote democrat (and hopefully Obama). Theres no point wasting a vote for an unviable candidate. But he definitely has the right to run to make his voice and issues (that we all already support) heard and discussed in the mainstream public.
