Interviewer: Does religion come into [your music]?

Kareem Salama: Yes, it certainly does - but it doesnt come into it… in a contrived way. Religion is a big part of my life. … There’s a saying in arabic that says “اللسان ترجم القلب”, The tongue is the interpreter of the heart; and so if you have religion in your heart, it’ll naturally come out on your tongue. You know, following good inspirations in your heart is certainly part of religion for me.

Kareem Salama’s second album, This Life of Mine is currently available on Nasheeds.com and KareemSalama.com. Purchase your own copy today and support our brother Kareem and his beautiful and inspiring music! (Makes a great Eid Gift)
