Without an audience, they are toast and they know it. Our (as the viewing public) job is too think for ourselves and form our own opinion(s)...not lock into any commentator just because (s)he preaches too our chosen choir. He is determined to say something memorable, much as he did when he did his Joseph Welch imitation when there was no formal WTC memorial yet. His "have you no shame, Mr. President?" routine was neither memorable nor moving. It's good that he's part of the MSNBC organization so that he gets only minimal exposure.
