Pew Research Study on Muslim Americans
Published by Haseeb May 23rd, 2007 in Current News, IslamThe recent Pew Research Study (PDF) on Muslim Americans has been released yesterday and is all over the news. While most news articles focus on how most Muslim Americans should assimilate, and are opposed to terrorism, what I found very intriguing about the study was the statistics regarding young Muslims and Religious Beliefs.
42% of Young Muslims (Age 18-29) found a conflict between devout faith and modern life, whereas only 10% of Young Muslims thought of themselves as both equally Muslim and American.
Update: here are analyses of the study on MSNBC featuring CAIR National Leaders:

Assalaamualaikum,
I think this is a great article about this issue:

I really hope American Muslims stand up and do something - you guys have enough muscle to exert yourselves in USA politics and media but I think the Muslims are more interested in the next Kareem Salama concert or another talk.
Insha’Allah
us Muslims will stop agonizing and start organising.
Fiamaanallah,

“but I think the Muslims are more interested in the next Kareem Salama concert or another talk.”
concerts like those of Kareem Salama are used by organizations like CAIR to raise huge amounts of funds.
Last week in los angeles CAIR did a show for a comedy tour which drew in 1200 people.
thas some good synergy.
the guy in the second video is a really good speaker
I hate that Tucker Carlson guy. He didn’t even let Ibrahim finish most of his sentences.
