The blind parade is marching, hollow feet are stomping, pushing through the door
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore
Politicians talking, twisted tongues are mopping, wiping dirty floors
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore
Movie star endorsements, zombies driving Porsches, fighting in line at stores
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore
Republicans lying, innocent dying, religions are going to war
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore
Hollywood hating, Bollywood raving, double standards left ignored
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore
Leaders misbehaving, Crescent moon debating, environment’s left to Al Gore
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore
“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.”
Spiritual reviving, media defying, turning off the radio
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore
Vertical aligning, sacred space finding, all eyes turned North
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore
Designer clothe burning, rhetoric learning, raising Malcolm’s torch
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore
Writers, poets rising, consumer culture fighting, passion showing force
Being normal isn’t normal, crazy’s not so crazy, anymore

Salam-
This will sound strange but this song was quickly put together and the idea came to my mind (strangely enough) as I was reading Surah Rahman. As many of you know, there is a verse in Surah Rahman which roughly translates to, “And then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?”
For some reason that inspired me to write a song about what is considered “normal” and what is considered “crazy” and line that i repeat “normal isn’t normal, crazys not so crazy anymore” refers to the idea that when things really get out of hand, what is considered normal is in fact crazy and what is consider “crazy” is actually not that abnormal at all.
anyways, this is not my finest “poetic work” but i felt an impulse to write it so i did..
I sometimes think like that too…
This poem is making me mad.
well…i hope its a good man..
yeah, i was thinking about this a couple of days ago.
people are so odd…everythng they think is definitely not normal. but they believe it is.
so i end up feeling wierd. and in the end, i feel proud of it, cuz if what they do is normal, i rather be wierd.
i think that fits in with the poem. i wouldnt know rly, im kind of wierd
i think not so normal is normal…. this is the fact of life… crazy people don’t obey rules are fun and creative… meaning that life has more diverse moments… good aspect in term of justifying satisfaction! Amen… and good bye the superficiality culture
