Assalamu alaikum Lena,
I hope you are well and I pray that you receive donations. I know it can be hard to finance films.
I myself am looking to start shooting a short film with some friends of mine.
I have to say I loved your film “Sleeper Cell”, it is seriously cool. I loved the take on 50’s Chicago, Dick Tracy style. The dialogue is cool too. It fits really well.
Did you go to film school etc to pick up your techniques and writing styles ?
Keep in touch,
Your talented mashallah,
I am currently based in the Uk, who knows maybe one day we could work together
Wasalam,

wa `alaykum as-salam,
Jazakum Allahu khayran for the support! I went to UCLA film school, and this was my first project (so I had not yet really learned cinematography unfortunately)!
You know, people can collaborate even overseas so I’d love for all the aspiring Muslim filmmakers and professionals to keep in touch. My composer for this film was actually in Australia.

P.S. for any people reading these comments still, please take some time and pray for forgiveness and paradise for the film’s lead actor, Yousef Epperson, who died tragically in a car accident this past Eid.
Assalamu alaikum,
Thats tragic news about, inshallah I will do a fatiha for him. It just shows the fragility of life and how we always pray to meet our maker in a good state.
Take care inshallah and I really hope you get your funding.
Wasalam
Salaams,
I enjoyed your film and look forward to your next film. If you need help with the production of the film let me know.
