Khalid Elmasry: New American Muslim Talk Radio Star?

I’m requesting that everyone go to the website and vote for him. Please go to http://www.talkprogress.com/contestants/ and vote for Khalid Elmasry. He is the 8th person listed. Voting started yesterday and lasts until the end of this week. And please forward this request to everyone (via email, blog posts, etc.).
Just think about the possibilities of having a national radio show host who is a Muslim. If selected, Khalid will use the show as an opportunity for the Muslim perspective to be heard on such issues as the Patriot Act and the “war on terror”, insha Allah .

A pro-regressive Muslim talk show host? No thanks. Just listen to George Galloway on the net and get him on US radio.
Although a Muslim talk show host sounds interesting, how long will it stay interesting? I realize there is a large Muslim community in the United States but is that enough to sustain a regular listening audience for a long period of time. I’ve listened to his audition tape and no doubt he sound very intelligent and he can articulate his Muslim views as they pertain to the United States’ current situation in a Muslim’s world, i.e. Patroit Act and the war on terrorism, however, I really do not think he can continue to hold the listeners if he can only make that comparison, Muslim vs others.
Is George Galloway a revert?..i keep on hearing he is….but at the same time that he isnt..oh well he is doing a lot for the ummah..anyways..YAY..for the americans wholl be able to listen to the station!..
Of course, if Khalid Elmasry ends up with his own show I’m sure he won’t just talk about “Muslim” issues all the time. In fact, I’m sure explicitly “Islamic” topics will comprise a very small portion of his program. After all, it’s a progressive radio station, so the show will necessarily deal with a broad range of progressive political issues. But, when the chances arise, he will be able to offer a Muslim perspective. That is what is unique.
I dont know if Galloway is a revert Shamalia, you can hear his show Saturdays and Sundays noon to 2 Pacific time, you can check the link on my blog, or go straight to the talksport website. If anybody can show me how to create and embed flash audio I’ll be more then happy to post it up. I don’t care as long the talk show host is a truth teller, Khaled Elmasry seems too cozy with the Democrats who are have been to hijack the “progressive” label, anybody who’s heard AirAmerica radio knows what I’m talking about.
