Yes, theyve been known to buy players..but those players rarely play or usually get injured or suck - they rarely play an INTEGRAL role in the success of the team, unlike the Mets who literally bought their division title (what an accomplishment), while the yankees won their division title with heart.

It’s the NL. Thats like comparing a AAA baseball team to a softball league. You don’t need to match the yankees in payroll to make it in the NL. Plus, there’s nothing wrong with spending big to win big. The yankees give millions in charity to the other teams b/c of luxury tax anyway. $ is a complaint most METS fans have and you don’t hear them complaining too much about the Mets this year so i find that strange. I also think you should kill yourself but thats another issue.
