New Outlandish Video: “I Only Ask of God”

looks like Im up first. I think the parts where u see them singing is good. I thought they could show a better reenactment of the song. Words are quite deep (I think orginally it was after a war in Argentina), but it just looks like kids messing around with the kite. My thoughts only!Wasalam & peace. Like the song a lot

Hmm..it’s different…I like the message though…the style is different..kinda hard to get used to at first…(I don’t like the thin guys style-its confusing..but whatever)….but the message is nice, and the “kite-runner” theme (from the book Kite Runner possibly? good book btw)is nice…I don’t know..I think I need to watch it again to put more thoughts here

it’s really good, i like it a lot actually. the protagonist reminds me of ahmed mousa for some reason
umm…was there a protoganist? And what was his legendary quest? To defy the antagonists (all 11 yr old boys bored on a sunday afternoon) and rescue the long lost (for 5 minutes) yellow kite? Deep stuff.
I really like the song; i think its very deep and meaningful. But i somehow cannot relate the video with the lyrics–the video could have been a little more appropriate to the thematic concern of the song.

! A great work! I enjoy wathing such clip with a lot of feelings and meaningful. Outlandish deal with topical issues and they speak about the truth, so it’s very touching. I love the band because their simplicity and sense of reality, it change about the “love song” of the other “singers” of middle west!

To Eva: Oh danish is very nice but I cant speak it, maybe you could translate it for us or for me..The only word I know in danish is Udsalg..Ps. My god, have you see the game Italy - USa, men that was exciting..I think 1-1 is okay..I was in huge parc in Germany and there were thousands of italiens, it was great..Oh and I think Keller, the goalkeeper is very good, I was really impressed

I preferred the older version of look into my eyes, I thought it had a really good effect. I agree with the first comment about the other video too, the words have a deep meaning but I guess its just difficult to put that into a video.

Looking at it now, and seeing your comment, I think its because the 1st one had a more centralised theme of the Israel and Palestinian affair, while this new one could be for all situations similar to this.

I think they did a new video cause the old one can have an effect if the band is already famous (like in Denmark), and since they finally discovered that most of the european audience forgot about them (except some “hardcore dedicated fans” mainly in UK), they had to do another video that is just less provocative…
At least that’s how I see it ehe

i bought the CD from CDWOW.com, (i live in the US too!) they shipped it here without any problems.
As far as i understand, there are no alternate versions of the CD. Some songs just have some urdu/arabic/danish/spanish lyrics - and thats dependent on the songs.

the video is great. its easy to watch, good flow and nothing disturbing like most music videos out now. But thats all. Compared to the lyrics the video has no power, meaning or spirit. just as the (second) video for look into my eyes, i really feel outlandish is wasting their valuable opportunities by making videos that everyone else can make. outlandish should be outlandish, showing what other videos dont show. they should show the truth of wars not just kites and kids. im sure they have their reasons, and limitations to what they can do, but from my point of view i wish they could do more. knowing the high standards of outlandish i know they can do more.
