Softballers 11-3 (1st Place in SASL)

Another impressive weekend of action for the Softballers. This past week, we beat the Hustlaz 10-5 in Game 1, then beat Damage Inc. 17-2 in our 2nd game. Although our MVP, Zeeshan Sheikh, had a rough week, the rest of the team came made up for it. Ahmad, Usman, and Farhan (who will all probably be All-stars this season) played well (as they always do), and Talha came through with a solid game at the plate as well. New York Mets 40-23 (1st Place in NL East)

Wow, this is the quickest the Mets have gotten to 40 wins since… 1986 (when we last won the World Series). The Mets have been hot, in fact we just won 6 games in a row after tonights win in Philly. Carlos Beltran has been named player of the week last week as well (- now this is what we expected from him when we signed him last year!).

Also David Wright (along with Paul Lo Duca, and CArlos Beltran) are currently leading in their respective NL All-Star positions. Make sure you vote for all the Mets for their respective positions for the All-Star Game.
