Mujeeb’s Contentions

Mashallah, its a great blog with Mujeeb’s own reflections on history, Islam, Japan, medicine, philosophy, and many other topics. He usually ends each post with a sentence of wisdom, a la Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad’s Contentions. Here, I share with you, Mujeeb’s contentions:
- Instead of forcing rationale, how about we recognize that we are transnational.
- It’s not a question of becoming curious, but how do we take that and be judicious?
- Instead of constantly finding new ways to bicker, how about we learn to look again at wise fikr.
- Why do we say and hope to change the world, when in reality we passively let it all unfold.
- In our attempted rise towards spiritual bliss, have we left our bodies for the dismal abyss?
- In learning to love we find our humanity, and in learning to be human we find our humility.
- Is it possible for us to re-invent our thoughts when we can’t even understand what we’re taught?
- Can we establish a future of fikr without ever having indulged in dhikr?
- Can we truly move on from our sayyi’aat without actually having a change of heart?
- Why do we desire instant intisaar, when from sincerety we always stray so far.
