What exactly does ICNA et al want the UN to do about this?
Salaam ‘Alaikum
SUBHAN’Allah
is all I can say, b/c if I say what I’m really thinking… I’ll feel guilty.
No offense, but I am tired of this all. I think we already voiced our opinion. Why is there a rally?
i accept 100% to what icna is doing and i would want to see more organization to step up and defend the wonderful religion of islam. i don’t think as muslims we should stop promoting and showing others that islam is the way of life and a mercy to mankind. having respect for our Prophet Muhammed
(PBUH) and all the other prophets. we should do more then voicing our opinion islam is the only truth so i think as a muslims we should defend it till the the we die. Allah
says in the quran in sura 83 verse 29-36
“29. Those in sin used to laugh at those who believed,
30. And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery);
31. And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;
32. And whenever they saw them, they would say, “Behold! These are the people truly astray!”
33. But they had not been sent as keepers over them!
34. But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers:
35. On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things).
36. Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did?
There’s a rally because oftentimes simply voicing one’s opinion isn’t enough. It’s important for Muslims to get out there and show that we won’t take mockery of our religion and our Holy Prophet (saw). “Voicing our opinion” is not an adequate expression of the outrage we are (or should be) feeling. I’m not sure the UN can actually do anything about the cartoons but the point is that we are actively protesting them.
ibrahim, I agree with you of course, but our actions need to be a means and not an end..
salam
(Lord of the worlds). we are here ot serve him and defend is and his prophet by anymeans or resources avalible(in the best way possibale at the same time remembering what he prophet would have done (PBUH).
thats what i was talking about i belive we as muslims should defend islam with every inch of our breath. we should not care about what other people think because the only thing that matters is Allah
and on the issue on the reactions on the cartoon i don’t belive it was needed. since islam teaches us to be patience even when harm aflicts you. so i think we as muslims should try our best to fight for islam with calm.
thats why i agree with the protest that icna and other wandreful organizations are doing
Inshallah we will rise to the top in Allahs name
Salamz
