Tough Loss Today @ The Meadowlands

First of all: yes, the Giants had a great season. New York won the NFC East, for the first time since 2000 (The Eagles won it the last four years). Tiki Barber had a phenomenal season rushing for over 1,800 yards, and Eli Manning, in his sophomore season played well with over 3700 passing yards and a 52% passing completion ratio. Many would argue that the Giants were even better than their 11-5 record indicated with a couple of tough close losses this year including games against Dallas (Week 6), Minnesota (Week 10), and the unforgettable game against Seattle (Week 12) where Feeley missed 3 critical field goals. Nonetheless the 11-5 record and a solid season earned them the right to host the Carolina Panthers earlier today. But the Giants just stank today. Eli Manning was horrible, throwing 3 pathetic interceptions, and Tiki Barber only rushed for 41 yards. Their best receiver, Plaxico Burress didnt even have a single catch all game! Moreover their lackluster defense looked horrid as Steve Smith ran all over the big blue D. The Giants, the first home team to be shut out at home in a playoff game since 1980, let down all of its fans today without even showing any sign of offensive life throughout the game. Simply pathetic.

Alhamdulillah, the knicks game was on. I couldn’t bare watching them get whooped. As bad as the Giants played, you gotta give it up to the Panthers. They controlled the entire game.
