Mets Sign All-Star Catcher Paul Lo Duca

For those of you new to my site, i just wanted to make one thing clear: I love the mets. I’m a die hard mets fan and have stuck by my team through it all. Although the last couple of seasons have been disheartening, i can once again say and honestly believe that NEXT YEAR TRULY IS NOW. After a disappointing season after signing Carlos Beltran and Pedro Martinez, and witnessing the birth of the future MVP in the league, David Wright, the Mets proved themselves determined to win it all now with filling three major gaps in our roster, a power hitting 1B in Carlos Delgado (~.300, 120 RBI over his career), Closer Billy Wagner (one of the leagues premiere closers over the past decade, - career 2.45 ERA), and just earlier today, Brooklyn’s own Paul Lo Duca (3 time All-Star). The Mets are arguably the best team on paper today and NOBODY can doubt that. All we need now is another relief pitcher, and a second basemen, and were good to go. Straight through into October 2006 to win the championship inshallah.
Oh yea, and were still the favorites to get Manny Ramirez too… 
Just look at this lineup:
1B - Carlos Delgado (.300, 120 RBIs, FINALLY some power at first base!)
2B - Kaz Matsui (for now, well get some1 else, dont worry)
SS - Jose Reyes (the most electrifying player on the bases in all of baseball (60 SB last year))
3B - David Wright (future MVP - u heard it here first! - need i say more?)
C- Paul Lo Duca (3 time allstar - will be better than how piazza was last year)
LF - Cliff Floyd (.280, 98 RBI last year WITHOUt much protection!)
CF - Carlos Beltran (every1 knows hes gonna have a better year this year!)
RF - Victor Diaz (for now… but soon.. Manny Ramirez? inshallah!!!!)
and Pitching: Pedro, Glavine, Benson, Traschel, Zambrano, and a bullpen with Heilman, Jae Seo (2.6 ERA last year), and BILLY WAGNER closing!
Some nice acquisition ladies, but here’s my prediction on the Muts. They will win 85 games next year and maybe get the wild card. And if they make it to the playoffs, they won’t get past the first round. Omar Minaya is an excellent GM. The problem is that the Muts fan base is composed of social outcasts and underachievers. As a result of its loser fans, the team underperforms.
Pedro will be injured for much of the year, Floyd will go back to sucking, Beltran will continue to be an overpaid loser, and Kaz Matsui and Victor Diaz will both hit .220. Jose Reyes might have a decent year, but he’ll continue to have a mediocre BA and strike out too much for a leadoff. Who cares about his 60 SB’s? Baseball has several leadoff hitters who can hit above .300 and have above 10 HR/yr and strike out less than 70 times a season.
Anyway, Delgado and Wright will be great. Perhaps Lo Duca as well. And Traschel, Zambrano, and Benson had mediocre NL era’s last year. I expect the same in 2006. Pedro and Glavine will be stellar when they’re not in a hospital.
So again, Mets in 2006: 85-77 (Maybe wild card, but definitely 1st round elimination). Haseeb’ll be left crying during the offseason, fearing he’s betrayed his beloved Piazza, and only finding solace in WWF (men with long hair in synthetic underwear jumping on top of one another).

It’s interesting you (mujahideen ryder) chose to come out of the closet on Haseeb’s website. But I have to admit, we already knew you were gay. Look at your website name, you say you are ‘ride’ mujahideen. Sick.
And do you have a crush on Kanye West? Want to make him a Muslim? If a reference to Islam in a rap song would make someone a Muslim, then Biggie Smalls would be a shaykh. Btw, you look like tutti.

The Mets will still not win the NL East, you have no pitching other than Pedro, Glavine is washed up, and Wagner can only pitch in the 9th inning.
these are mostly bought players and yet you seem so proud now…they are faaaar from the best team on paper.
I’m again reminded of the irony of all this, when Haseeb argued with me for over an hour once, and resorted to arguing in a shrilly annoying voice, about the Yankees being bad for baseball because they spent too much money and “bought all their players”. I want you to rescind those hypocritical comments, Barrel.
