My 200th Post (& 1000th Comment!)
Published by Haseeb November 25th, 2005 in Personal
Alhamdulillah, this site has progressed greatly since I started it a almost 9 months ago. (Although it actually is a continuation/replacement for my old site, (http://www.ic.sunysb.edu/stu/hahmed/). This post marks my 200th overall post. I am actually very surprised Ive made it this far, but i do stilll enjoy doing it, and people are reading it and also giving me feedback - which I really do appreciate! In fact, as of today my site has reached 1,000 comments as well. Pretty cool how both milestones were reached simultaneously, rite? lol
Moreover (in due large part to the release of Sami Yusuf and Outlandish’s new albums), my site has been getting wayy more hits than ever before. I used to average around 40-60 unique hits day, and that remained consistent from the site’s inception till about a month ago. However as of this past week, ive been getting 400-650 hits a day!!!
And even more surprisingly, the readers of my site are located all over the world. (But primarily of course, from my home, in New York. Although a significant number of visitors from Southern Cali, Edmonton(Canada), and London( England) as well.
Most of the readers are from my home, the US. But a signifcant number are viewing my site from the UK, Denmark, and Canada.
So to all you readers coming to my site, thank you. I sincerely appreciate it, and I hope u keep coming back and appreciate my work. If you have any criticisms or suggestion please contact me and let me know. And finally, if you haven’t already done so, please sign my guestbook (it works now for IE!). Thanks
Furthermore, with all the new visitors coming from all over the world, I decided to password protect some of the personal parts of my site. For example, the photo album, which is basically just pictures of some events in my life along with just group pictures of hanging out with friends, is now password protected. Its kinda weird thinking about how many ppl over the world are looking at pics of us like that. But of course if you do know me personally, those photos are for you to see, as I put them up to share with you guys. Just call/email me for the pw and ill be happy to give it to u!

assalamu 3aliakum.. heres 1001!!!
congratulations!!!

, I enjoy reading the stuff you post here. particularly your written paper/articles section, they were great read, thank you for sharing.
Few weeks back I was looking for some information about Outlandish, and found your site from google. Now I’m hooked
It is interesting to keep track of these stats. I do. It is interesting to watch your traffic increase or decrease based on what type of posting you do. I am a white male convert to Islam married to an Arab woman, I find that writing about personal experiences is one of the best ways to increase traffic.
Salaamz my man Haseeb!
Congratulations baby!
When we gettin’ married?
I’ve known this site because of outlandish too…
i’m happy for that. It’s nice to enter in an updated site with different things to read and say,
best whishes for the future.

Congratulations with the succes of your site!
akhi! I love to read your articles, not just the ones that attract my attention because I am a muslim and study medicine, but also the articles that are more of the ‘everyday-impressions’ type.
I first noticed your site while I was looking for the new album of Outlandish. And now I find myself sticking to it like bubble-gum! This last week I read, thanks to having a holiday, a lot of your articles and I must say that your writing is top-class, masha’Allah
Wa-’alaykumu salaam
