As the American Death toll reaches 2000, Bush’s approval rating declines
Published by Haseeb August 5th, 2005 in Current News, US PoliticsTwenty Six of our finest and bravest US soldiers have been killed this month alone in the so called war on terror in Iraq. This brings the total number of American fatalities in Iraq to almost 2000. Do you feel any safer today than you did before the beginning of the war? I most certainly dont.
Regardless of whatever continues to go on in this world, most of it is beyond our control. And theres no use to get overly angry and let it stress us out to the point that it gets in the way of our own health and livelihood. However, suffice it to sayk, we should definitely continue to stand for justice and show our disdain for this administration and the way our country is headed in terms of its foreign policy. But remember, in the end, it is in fact God, who is in control and has a divine plan. Verily, he is the best of planners, and to think otherwise is to not have faith.
So lets do the math:
At least 25,000 Iraqis killed.
Almost 2,000 American soldiers killed.
Another 14,000 Americans wounded
Probably well over 100,000 Iraqis wounded
For what??
The world is most definitely not a safer place than it was before the war.
Well Bush’s approval rating on the war is down to 38%. So at least it helps to know that those who are against the war and Bush’s handling of the war on terror are in fact in the majority nowadays.
If anyone killed a person, other than for muder or corruption on the earth, it would be as if he killed all of humanity(5:32)
