Batman Begins

I just got back from watching Batman Begins earlier tonight and it was amazing. Although I may not be a comics buff like many others, I did have some expectations for this film, and this film exceeded them all. Christian Bale, an excellent actor, was an excellent Bruce Wayne. He portrayed Batman the way I wanted him seen on the big screen. After several adaptations of the dark knight completely mutilated the character (George Clooney, Val Kilmer??) , it was important that they started fresh from the beginning, to show how in fact Batman Begins. And I loved the story. The progression from his training in Japan, to his return to Gotham and the advent of the Batman character was very well developed. All the roles were well played, the action scenes were great, although the batmobile was pretty odd. Nonetheless, the movie leaves alot of room for future progress in the futher development in several other characters, including Bruce, Sargent Gordon (becomes commissioner i think), and of course, many infamous villians. The movie ended on a great note where Gordon showed Batman the calling card of a new villian, the joker card.

Thanks for ruining the movie, jerk.
