Although the yankees did win this subway series, it was very entertaining, and all three games showed how great this years Mets really are. In fact, if it werent from a few costly errors, the mets shouldve SWEPT the yankees!

Game 1 was ruined by Kaz Matsuis, who shouldve ended the 6th inning with a inning ending double play. The Yankees went on to take the lead that inning and eventually won that game. In Game 2. the mets kicked ass. The Mets smacked 12 hits off of Randy Johnson (his 2nd worst performance ever), and the mets went on to spank the yanks 7-1 . Game 3 was another good game, the Mets led most of the game, but then again Jose Reyes botched an easy inning endind double play, which allowed the yankees to extend the inning where the yankees capitalized and went on to take the lead yet again. David Wright had another costly error that inning. The yanks did go on to win the third and final game to win the series 2-1.

However, as a Mets fan although I am disappointed we lost – the Mets played well. Piazza is playing well and has recovered from his earlier slump. Reyes and Wright also played well offensively and defensively (aside from the errors mentioned). In fact, Wright made a phenomenal catch in game 3 leaping deep into the stands making a key inning ending out with the bases loaded. Very impressive. The Mets look great, starting pitching and starting lineup is among the NLs best. I guarantee the Mets will win the next subway series in the Bronx in a month!
