MSA Alumni Dinner/Graduate Salute

Subhanallah! The alumni dinner this past sunday night was incredible! Although it started late, and ended up being a little longer than expected, alhamdulillah the event ran smoothly and everyone enjoyed it!. Actually the whole day was awesome.
It didnt start off that way though - as i was quite busy earlier in the day running errands taking care of getting stuff for the event at costco, and making/printing out the program (downloadable HERE in case anyone still wants a copy). When i got back, naveed called and he was playing basketball with some friends so i joined them to play for an hour or so. When i got back i showered, and then Ali came down with his wife, Nazia. We chilled for a bit - we went to the batting cages but it was too crowded, but we did get to throw around a baseball. After fooling around it came time to help set up for the event. Of course everything ran late and took longer than expected, but people didnt even show up until maghrib time anyways.
It was truly astonishing to see all these people from way back in the day to return to stony for this alumni dinner. Most of the friends I really love and have admired and respected over the past four years all returned to stony for this event (except like Arif and Farooq - we missed u guys). Subhanallah seeing guys like Azlan, Ali, Saleem, Sarhan, and many others just made me so happy. Sister Sanaa couldnt believe it either and she was almost tearing up seeing all of us together, her kids from past and present. After a series of short talks, we moved from the SAC auditorium to the ballroom (B) where we enjoyed great dinner while viewing a slideshow of pictures of MSA events and hangouts over the past few years. And yes, unfortunately there were some embarassing pics of yours truly, and before u even ask, NO I WILL NOT POST THEM ON MY SITE!. lol. Alhamdulillah it was a great night. After the dinner, we had an afterparty in my suite. And what happened there? … haha sorry, what happens in our suite, stays in our suite

yeah, unfortunately, I missed the event. I really wanted to come and I heard that some alumni from way back freshman year were there. Ahh, too bad. in shaa Allaah next time.
The board this year did a great job to hold the event, thanks brothers and sisters.

man u guys did a great job..u know me and sis marya planned an event like this 3 years back..but back then we didnt have alumni like salim, ali, sarhan and me lol…so no one was interested…but good work and it was amazing to see all of you guys…i cant wait to start my rotations in NY and hang out with all of u guys…and Haseeb put up the embarassing pics…lol..what abt the one when i proposal with a diet coke..dude if u want any help or anything else holla aight..i am always there for u…seeya

anyways, in shaa Allaah there is always next year.
inshallah the future boards will make this type of even a regular tradition. i cant even imagine the feelings i will have when i return in the upcoming years to a future stony msa reunion…
i wish they had exposed the br0z with my video..too bad.
I won’t show up for the future reunions… it will not be the same.
