His first album, Al-Mu’allim was a renowned success. Many people, including myself were anxiously anticipating more music from the artist. Recently, my friend Amir linked me to his latest song, Ya Ommi, about mothers. Its a really beautiful song and video and I recommend it to all. actually i liked both albums al’muallim and the last one my ummah they to good to compare between both but the advantage in my ummah song is that it’s made with many languages arabic english spanish urdu and turkish which will get mire success all over the world frm maghreb till india that sounds nice so that mean that many muslim and why not umuslim poeple will get the message and hope ppl no muslim could join and convert to islam coz there’s no other real truth and best relegion except islam amin…wish all the best to the gr8 singer sami yusuf and always success ..thk u

Sami Yusuf is one of the better nasheeds out there in my point of view. He has made the ummah around the world have a stronger sense of what islam is about. I personally had a chance to see him at a conference. I never knew about him before that day, but truly i can say he changed the way and how i think about life, and how great a person Prophet Mohammad
(p.b.u.h) was. All i have to say is keep it up, you have a great voice and its very unique. May Allah

Well One thing more which i would like to comment,is that All Nasheeds of Bro Sami are really very nice,and worth to listen,but there is one request to him as well that “PLZ DONT USE SUCH INSTRUEMENTS (PIANO,etc) IN UR NASHEEDS,THIS IS NOT ALLOWED IN ISLAM”.You have used it in “Ya Ommi”….so thats the request to him,rest his nasheeds and voice is really worth to listen.Each word of his nasheeds seem that coming from the depth of Heart.

When my niece who is studying in Al Azhar brought home his music , I was apprehensive in letting my family listen to him as I was afraid that his music is pro terrorism. After listening to him and researching him on the net and listening to him in You tube , I am thankful to Allah
SWT for giving him the creativity to projects nasheed in the new way. The power of nasheed and shalawat next to prayers and reading the Quran is very great. I know because as a muslim working in non muslim environment , it takes alot more than your ability to be sucessful. Also when I was out of job for six months after coming back from Haj and start wearing the head scarf , I was not able to get a job in the industry that I have been for many years as it is not common for hotels to hire people wearing scarf . But everyday I listen to nasheed from Raihan ( malaysian nasheed group) , read shalawat, pray and read the Quran, alhamdullilah , I got a job now that not only allows me wear scarf, I earn 3 times more than in the hotel and I have more time for other activities. What I want to say is that everyday I listen now to Sami yusof, native deen and other nasheed to motivate me to go through life with confident and trust in Allah 
. Sami keep up the good work and may Allah

Now as far as this confusion is concerned that ”MUSIC IS HALAL OR HARAM”……. i would just say listen to such Musicisns who are giving you some kind of strong messages through their music …..when you listen to SAMI YUSUF (my fav ) i dont kno if there would be a single person who will have some bad thoughts in his/her mind after listening to SAMI’s music…..its so pure ,so fresh,it refreshes you IMAAN ,IT BRINGS TEARS TO YOU EYES WHEN YOU CONCENTRATE ON WHAT THE MESSAGE IS BEING DELIVERED ….see you learn alot from such things …u get a chance to correct ur self …so anything which makes u a beteer human being most importantly a better muslim cant be haram i believe !…
