My court trial
Published by Haseeb August 20th, 2004 in PersonalOn March 25th, 2004 (coincidently the same week i renewed my expired license ), I was caught speeding on 347. As soon as the cop turned out of the alley way i knew i was busted. I even tried to steer away before he turned the siren on to try to lose him. But it was too late, he turned on the siren and caught me. 81 in a 55. A 140 dollar ticket plus 4 points on my license. Ouch! Plus insurance rates would definitely increase. I was too busy at the time to deal with it and i didnt have the cash, so i just pleaded not guilty and delayed the inevitable. I had no case for i was indeed speeding.
August 19, 2004. The court trial was set. The State of NY vs. Haseeb Ahmed. Long story short, even though i was really worried, subhanallah the officer didnt show up. Therefore, the case was dismissed, and i left completely free of everything! AND WHAT?
So my advice to any of u: If you get caught speeding, always plead not guilty!
So then afterwards I stopped by Stony Brook to take care of MSA, personal, premed, and other bid’nizz. Then after takin care of my bid’nizz’ on the way home i went back my normal route takin 347 to the northern state to go home. As i was driving down 347, i was going my normal speed around 80… and SIREN!
oh crap!
… just kidding. I learned my lesson
